The Montana Technology Access Center (MTAC) is located on The University of Montana campus in Missoula and features a wide range of assistive devices that are available for demonstration, evaluation, and loan. MTAC showcases a wide variety of devices ranging from simple “low tech” solutions for everyday tasks such as cooking to complex options such as dynamic communication devices or electronic aids for controlling one’s environment. The center also has numerous computers with adaptive software, hardware, and ergonomic options. Any individual or group is welcome to tour MTAC by arranging a time when a MonTECH staff member is available.

Examples of groups MonTECH has routinely provided tours to include:

  • Consumers, families, and/or caregivers
  • Home and Community Based Services personnel
  • Independent Living Center personnel
  • School teams and administrators
  • Vocational Rehabilitation staff
  • Community Organizations
  • Future educators enrolled in UM Curriculum & Instruction courses
