The Via Mini 8 is an iOS-based device. It has an 8-inch screen with a durable design. The Via Mini 8 is a portable and light weight device weighing less than 2lbs. The Via Mini is a speech generating device (SGD) with the critical options necessary for speech-language pathologists to better meet the unique needs of their clients with communication disabilities. Unlike other SGDs, Via Mini provides greater customization by harnessing the power of the iPad and providing the opportunity to prescribe nearly any augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app to best meet the needs of the patient. This device DOES NOT COME PRE-LOADED WITH NORMAL MONTECH IPAD APPS. The Via Mini is loaded with TouchChat with WordPower, LAMP Words for Life, and Dialogue AAC. All of these apps are also loaded on our regular iPads (not covered by insurance/Medicaid).
