MONTANA ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM (MATP)
Assisted Running Rope
The assisted running rope allows visually-impaired students to run without a partner, fostering independence. After attaching each end of the rope to a sturdy structure such as a cone, students can run from one end of rope to the other by grabbing a handle. Attached noise makers and foam stoppers help slow down runners and alert them to the end of the rope. The foam stoppers should be reset after each run. This checkout includes 6 handles (4 long handles and 2 ball-shaped handles), 10 foam stoppers, 2 bells, and a 75ft long rope. ***This purchase was made possible through funding from a Preschool Development Grant as part of the Bright Future B-5 Project through the MT Department of Public Health and Human Services.*** Early childhood item.
